Statement of Faith

  • We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, and is God’s son and God himself. He came to earth to show us how to live a supernatural life everyday  by the power of the holy Spirit, healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons, setting the captives free, and looking after the poor.  Beyond this he came to die for our sins so we could be reconciled to God the father and have a relationship with him. (1 John 5:20, John 3:16, John 1:14, Isaiah 9:6)

  • We believe that the bible is the word inspired by God through the interpretation of different authors. This is the primary way God speaks but he is not confined to this he can speak though people, objects, books, visual arts, movies and the media to name a few. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12, Ephesians 6:17, Psalm 33:4)

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit who is the third member of the God head and who is not a thing but a person. We believe that when a person is saved the Holy Spirit comes to live within them. (John 14:26, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Genesis 1:2, Matthew 3:11)

  • We believe in water baptism by immersion at the decision of the person in question. Water baptism is a sign that the person who’s being baptised in full immersion makes a decision to the outside world that he lays down his old life and puts aside his old habits to choose a life fully surrendered to Jesus. (1 Peter 3:21, Acts 2:28, Mark 16:16, Matthew 3:13-16, Acts 16:31-33)

  • We believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirit. This is often referred too as the second baptism. Another word for it is Holy Spirit baptism and it means that the person is being filled with authority and power from above, so he or she can live a life in holiness and purity. (Acts 4:31, Acts 1:5, Acts 2:4, Romans 8:9, Acts 19:6)
  • We believe in God the Father who loves us unconditionally and was willing to give up His only Son to reconcile His people with himself. God is almighty, omnipresent and is the King of kings and Lord of lords. (Isaiah 64:8, Psalm 68:5, Romans 8:15, 2 Corinthians 6:18)
  • We believe in the resurrection. Jesus died and rose again after three days. He went down to hell to pick up the keys of life and death. He is the resurrection and the life, just as told in the story of Lazarus in the bible. (John 11:25, Romans 8:11, John 11:25-26, Romans 6:4)

  • We believe in eternal life. This means that we believe that us being here on earth is just a timely body and when Jesus comes back, we won’t have our earthly bodies anymore. (John 3:16, Romans 6:23, John 3:36, 1 John 2:25)

  • We believe in the second coming of Christ. This means that we are convinced that Jesus is coming back soon to take His bride with Him. We don’t know when and what time this would be, but the proof we know is that it’s written in the word of God that Jesus would come back as soon as the Gospel is presented and preached to every tribe and nation in all the world and everyone has had the opportunity to hear the gospel and respond to it. (Revelation 1:7, Colossians 3:4, Titus 2:13, 1 Thessalonians 4:17, 2 Peter 3:10)

  • We believe that heaven and hell are both real. When people haven’t accepted Jesus as their Lord and saviour, they will be judged by Jesus on the last day. (Matthew 25:41, Revelation 20:10, Revelation 21:8, Luke 23:43, John 14:2)

  • We believe that God has called us to bring His Kingdom to earth now. This means that we have been given dominion and authority to not just pray for His Kingdom to come on earth as in heaven, but also to act upon our prayer. (Luke 10:19, 2 Corinthians 10:3-4, Genesis 1:26, Genesis 1:28, Luke 9:1)

Confession of Faith

We believe in one God, the Father almighty maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, begotten from the Father before all ages, God from God,
Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made; of the same essence as the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary,
and was made human. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried. The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again with glory
to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will never end. And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life. He proceeds from the Father and the Son, and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified. He spoke through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and to life in the world to come. Amen.
